12:34

Have you ever noticed how often you just so happen to be looking at the clock right when the time is at 12:34? Whether it be AM or PM, I see it all the time.

Do you?

Blaaaaaaah.

I'm having one of those days where you have a list longer than Madonna's career of things to do, but the care factor of zero to do a single bit of it. All the time in the world! Just no desire to do anything other than sit and stare at the computer screen.

You'd think after just checking my finances and seeing that I really need to do some work and make some money, I'd now be inspired to pull my finger out and get things done wouldn't you?

Nope.

I guess I'll just have to declare today "Blah Day" and see how I feel tomorrow.

It's such a simple rule really...

Dear idiots of the world - especially those I went to school with,

After you have purchased something like a HOUSE maybe and you're telling people about it, the correct thing to say would be, "I just bought a house".

When you say, "I just brought a house", you're really saying you're an uneducated twat who may have been more intelligent today if you'd have kept your legs closed at school and paid attention in English you've just taken a house to or from somewhere.

Basic English 101

Bring = Brought
Buy = Bought

Dumb arses.

Best wishes,
Smarter Than You.

Justin's SexyBack

Guess who gets to see Justin's sexy back up close? AND his sexy bum? ME AND MY BESTIE!!! WAHOOO!!!!

Check out the seating chart, then get jealous people, because we've got tickets to the YELLOW area. That's right folks, SexyBack Club Lounge HERE WE COME!!!!!

I had to sell a kidney to afford this, but considering Justin (and his ex-bandmates) brought my bestest friend ever and I so close together, it would have been a sin to miss this opportunity.

Thanks for getting the tickets sista!!!

Edit: I just remembered I wrote that other post the other day about Justin. LOL Woops! I am still annoyed and still believe the tickets are way too expensive, but this is more about friendship and good times now. And the fact we'll be thisclose to Justin's butt.

Yay for money!!!

The bank finally put the money back in to my account today!

Not that it'll be staying in there for long of course. In fact, as soon as this has been posted, I'll be logging in to my account to pay some bills. asjknakfh! I hate being a grown up.

Meanwhile, now that my fraud case has been closed, I'd like to finish it up with these two examples of how I was scammed so you can learn from my mistakes. The bastards are out there, but if we're wise and on the ball at all times, we can beat the shit heads.

The end.

Show me my money!

It's been one week since I discovered scumbags had been taking money out of my account FROM BANGKOK.

I called the bank on Monday to see how the fraud case was going but knew I wouldn't really get anywhere, since it'd really only technically been about 4 business hours since I'd reported it. But then I called again today figuring they'd have *something* to tell me since it'd been a whole week. What did I find out? "Sorry ma'am, the fraud department don't have any record of it and your branch can't find the papers you say you filled out."

So off to my branch I went. After waiting for about 20 minutes as the lady went and looked it all up, the lady I initially reported it all with came out to me, apologized for the wait, then told me all my money would be back in my account by end of business hours, Monday. Hallelujah! Apparently the whole thing about the fraud department not having my case on file was crap, as "they would have seen it if someone had bothered to actually access the database". Hmm. I'm not entirely sure who I should trust, as the bank lady could very easily have gone into her office and made some very urgent "omg i totally 4got 2 submit this plz fast track it rite now omg!" calls.. but she did help me in the end and was very nice through it all, so I'm choosing to ignore the finer details. I just want my money back thank you!

Oh and guess what? It was confirmed - I was scammed in New York.

Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake's concert tickets for his Australian shows are somewhere between $140-$190!!! EACH!!!

Justin, dude. What's the deal? You've had fans here for *years* who have wanted to see you do a show with the whole kit and caboodle, and now after what? 6 or 7 years? you FINALLY bring the whole show here... and charge a figure that could feed a small family for a week?! Not cool man, not cool at all. Nice way to treat those who have fully supported you from afar as they've watched unappreciative fans in the US get to see you live in concert for sometimes weeks on end at a much lower fee per concert. Don't pretend like you couldn't totally afford to charge nothing and still be the richest kid on the block.

Ass.

Great success!

After having a heated telephone conversation with "Amin" - 2nd in charge at Smarty Host with no clue on how to actually be 2nd in charge - I've now got my refund I've been asking for since the 4th of August, along with $30 extra that a "normal customer" (my words, not his. ha) wouldn't usually get.

Score!

The extra $30 came after I chucked up a stink about not getting refunded for the formmail add-on that I had paid for in the package but never actually used. Amin was all "I can't change the TOS blah blah", but the truth of it was he just couldn't be fucked getting off his arse to do anything about it. It's all good though. I just yelled and screamed a bit more until he put me on hold and finally came back to me with, "We can offer you a half refund". I'll take it! $30 is about $30 more than I was actually expecting to get, knob.

Lessons learnt in all of this:

  • Always stick up for yourself.
  • Kick and scream until you a) feel better and/or b) get what you want.
  • And most importantly - don't EVER sign up with SmartyHost!

My beautiful boy

Dad was working on a new laundry door for me today at my house, so I took my son for a drive to see his Grandfather hard at work. God love him - I stepped out of the car and instantly heard "Geeez! Bloody stupid fuckin' thing!" - My father is no carpenter ;) Top kerby though! *lol*

Dad had to duck up to Bunnings so he took the opportunity while I was there rather than having to pack all his tools away. It was a bit windy outside and I hadn't brought a jacket for my boy, so we sat in the car and took photos instead! :D God bless camera phones :)

And just because he's so fricken cute, here are two more of my little man. *grin*

Fraud sucks, mmkay?

Well I eventually went out in to the public (mentally kicking and screaming), but it turns out I'm bloody lucky I did!

I met up with my sister for lunch and after I realised I only had $5 on me, my sister gave me cash for her half and I paid the total with my card. At least I TRIED to pay the total with my card..! I tried twice before realising something was not right. I'd transferred a nice little sum into the account from my other savings account just a week ago, so I knew there should have been more than enough in there for a measly $30 lunch.

So I immediately went and got a print out from my bank ATM but everything that was listed was legit. The only thing that looked very wrong was the MINUS figure staring me in the face. ARG!

To cut a potentially long story short, I've now had my two cards cancelled, and a transaction query form filled out with NINE fraudulent transactions has been sent off to my bank's Fraud Investigation Department.

Apparently it could have something to do with a New York scam. It seems anyone who has used their card in New York within the last 2.5 years could be affected (depending on where you used it though I assume).

Fucking bastards huh! Go and get jobs instead of stealing people's hard earned cash ya bums!

My bank balance is now in a minus figure and is eagerly awaiting over $2500 to come home :(((

Go away, public.

I'm supposed to be shopping for birthday presents but that would involve stepping out in to the public and I'm having one of those days where mingling with the public would just suck to the max.

Why do I leave the purchasing of birthday presents 'till the last minute? It's not like I haven't had an entire year's notice or anything. :/

Meanwhile, look! A labels section! *adds whining as a label* I think that one will get used a lot ;)

Yes, let's blog!

I've had a sudden urge to blog lately, which is weird because I've never really done it before. I've signed up for accounts at various places but really only ever use them to post a random pic or some sort of public announcement.

Blogger.com will change me.*

So apart from my besty hanging around the area due to the blogGods deeming her worthy to blog again -leaving the possibility of her finding this a real one- I'm wondering who else will actually read my Very Interesting Blog Posts.

*ponders*

I wonder if anyone from smartyhost.com.au will find me. Maybe if I type SmartyHost a few times and link to them here they'll find me. Or more importantly, someone looking to use them will find me. *rubs hands together* It's always nice to be prepared so I'll leave something here for the both of them just in case I'm at the shops or in the shower when either of them arrive.

Dear SmartyHost,

You suck.

Your package deals are crap, your telephone support is crap, your online ticketing support system is crap. You are an all-round crap company.

Much hate,

No. Seriously. To anybody who ever stumbles upon this and is seriously considering using the pathetic excuse of a hosting company, DON'T. I signed three companies up with them in one hit and cancelled the plans within 2 weeks. I even had one employee suggest I pay $500 upfront to become a reseller (!) to which I replied, "I'm having a hard time getting someone there to help me now - there's no WAY I would recommend your company to someone else!".

Shocking, shocking company. I fart in their general direction.

And on that charming note I'll end this here. Who knew blogging was so therapeutic?! ;)

*Until I get completely lazy and forget my urges to blog, that is.
